Today's Thrift Store Raid

Thrifting. What could be better to do on a frigid, sunny morning before teaching?

Thankfully I live close to about four decent thrift stores, not to mention a killer children's consignment shop that I try valiantly to avoid so as not to be tempted...

Now I know what you're thinking, a lot of thrift stores kiiiinda smell funky and the music is anything but tolerable and they often house many a "unique" character. But people, the deals are to be found nowhere else! The top find this week was a heavy-duty baby gate for under $10! I just HAD to look up the store price when I got home and was astonished to see three digits. What? Wow. Thumbs up to that!

Now, the actual reason for this post is to share my excitement over the adorable "mini man" clothes I found today. Don't mind the blurry and yellowish pictures... This poor camera lens is trying its best but just never fully recovered from that fall during a monsoon in Texas... Sigh.

Now. Just a disclaimer. These captions are not me boasting, but rather proving to you other"brand-name junkies" that you can indeed find great stuff second hand!

1. Super soft Baby Gap sleeper "thingy" without feet. It has giraffes on it. I just. It's too much.
 2. L.L. Bean organic cotton striped (LOVE STRIPES!) pants and sweatshirt with a cute onesie.

 3. Janie and Jack rugby shirt that is so soft I can hardly stand it. Yes, it's a bit big... but the child will grow!
 4. Gymboree "Speed Racer" T-shirt. Speed Racer was a big part of my childhood years. (Haha! It's the Mammoth car!!!!)
 5. Janie and Jack corduroy "overallz" (for Uncle Brandon) with matching flannel shirt that is also unspeakably soft.
 6. Irresistible Baby Gap jacket that I would wear myself if I were smaller. Too. Cute.
 7. Just can't resist baby denim :) but I forget where it's from. Corduroy pants from Janie and Jack!
 8. Ahem. Yes. I know, I know. This looks strangely familiar. But it's a size smaller and from Gymboree and it's red and gosh I'd wear this one too!
 9. How can anyone resist a soft Baby Gap jean jacket? Good for any future girls we may have too!
 10. Everything in me said a baby vest is impractical. BUT, I just couldn't resist this Gymboree puffy vest. It'll fit up to a 2yr old and that's a little more practical, right?
 10. Last but not least, the Carter's fleece Dino hoodie in honor of daddy who thinks all babies resemble little dinosaurs.
I truly hope this post was fun to read and not like a brag board or something! I will happily accompany any friend (or stranger!) on a thrifting expedition rain or shine. We will emerge victorious!
