Sometimes I forget...

... about my blog. Ahem. It's true. One month I'm all excited to regularly write and then the next (or next three or four...) I completely forget it exists! Sad.

Well here we go again. The pattern begins anew. A fresh post for an almost fresh year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (and I hope Thanksgiving was good too for that matter...)

I write to you from a sparkling, white, frigid land of snow. Well, it was sparkling last night when we braved the wind and swirling flurries for a little stroll, and early this morning when we shoveled the driveway (I say "we" but I only scooped approximately three shovels full while my tireless husband cleared the whole thing AND pushed a few cars out of snowbanks before braving the wild and heading to work.)

A few things have happened since I last posted,

1. We discovered a Silverfish infestation in our apartment. At least I refer to it as an infestation. There were at least two sightings of the nasty "varmints" (sometimes three!) every week for a month. This rude invasion has now been significantly interrupted by the liberal sprinkling of ground cinnamon in every nook and cranny and I am proud to report there have been no sightings for two weeks (unless SOMEONE has been spotting them and not telling me... grrrrr.)

2. The most thrilling event by far... *drumroll*

BABY MISULA IS COMING TO TOWN!!!!

Yeeeep. Come late July our happy family of two will be an even more joyful family of three! We're pretty thrilled and SO thankful for this life-changing gift. We had our first ultrasound a few weeks ago and were absolutely amazed to hear Baby M's heartbeat pounding away at a healthy, and very fast speed! We left with a few pictures of our little 6mm long pipsqueak and we can't wait to meet the little person!


And now, in honor of this chilly weather I shall include a few shots from our last camping trip over the summer. Good, warm, times :)
