Gotcha!

Rome doesn't always know what he's in for when I ask if he'd like some tea...

Blame it on the British blood, I dunno! But I love having "tea parties" (consists of drinking tea poured from a pot and not a kettle and sipped from teacups, not gulped from mugs. Although this is not an attack on the common mug. I love mugs! Ahem. No comments please.) However, as Rome so tactfully pointed out last night, "there is really nothing masculine about a teacup", (What about Sherlock Holmes and Watson and their plentiful tea breaks!!??? HA! What say you to THAT?? Oh that I could've thought of that comeback last night...) Thus, I have resorted to surprise tea attacks every once in a while.

  1. haha I love the tea attacks! I recently displayed my tea set and have also wanted to serve tea from it in the living room! I think I did this around Mother's Day when I discovered that Sherlock Holmes was on Pbs.org...anywho, when I displayed it I said to Tom, "Don't mind the tea set. It's the 'British' in me...our home needs to be more British." Which I don't have any British in me, and even though it's Tom who has British blood, I think my love of Dr. Who and Sherlock make me somewhat British...or being married to Thomas...either way, I appreciate this aspect of British culture...hehe... :)
